15 MHz Row-Column Array Transducer

Verasonics’ newest volume imaging technology, the RC15gV, is a 15 MHz Row-Column Array (RCA) transducer developed in collaboration with Vermon. This innovative transducer features orthogonally oriented arrays of 160 elements, with a 15 MHz center frequency, 0.11 mm pitch and 80% bandwidth.

Verasonics provides example scripts for imaging and simulation support for the transducer with the Vantage 256 Research Ultrasound System. This RCA Transducer provides a cost-effective approach for high framerate capture for 3D and volume imaging applications and eliminates the high channel count or multiplexing requirement of matrix arrays.

This transducer is compatible with Standard Frequency and High Frequency configurations of Vantage 256, using the UTA 408-GE adapter.
