Universal Transducer Adapters

Verasonics’ Universal Transducer Adapters (UTAs) enable users to quickly convert their system to operate transducers with a variety of connectors. Changing from one UTA takes only a few minutes – users loosen a set of screws by hand, change the UTA, and retighten the screws. The Systems must be shut down before and rebooted after the UTA changeover.

One UTA adapter is included with every Verasonics Systems purchase. Additional adapters are available to meet changing research needs.

Vantage NXT UTA 260-S

The UTA 260-S features a single 260-pin connector and is compatible with Verasonics-labeled transducers and ATL HDI Transducers, including 192 and 256-element probes with high-voltage multiplexers.

The UTA 260-MUX provides a 2:1 multiplexing capability and supports transducers with up to 128 elements on systems with fewer channels.

The UTA 408-GE supports transducers with up to 256 elements, including select probes from Verasonics and GE Healthcare1, as well as custom transducers using the GE-408-pin backshell kit.

The UTA 408-GE-MUX provides a 2:1 multiplexing capability and connectivity for transducers with 128 or fewer directly connected elements.

The NXT UTA 408-GE MUX is available on the Vantage NXT 32LE and 64.

The UTA 256 Direct offers direct connections for custom and specialty transducers with up to 256 elements, eliminating the need for a multiplexer.
