New Products and Features:

Row/Column Array Imaging

New technology available from Verasonics for High Frame-Rate Volume Imaging

Verasonics is offering imaging scripts and simulation support for Row/Column Array (RCA) transducers with the Vantage 256 Research Ultrasound system.  Using orthogonally oriented arrays of 128 elements each, the RCA transducer provides an approach to volume imaging that eliminates some of the limitations of matrix arrays. Sparse Random Aperture Compounding

Verasonics has developed a technique for acquisition of volume data sets with a single Vantage 256 Research Ultrasound system.  Using a 1024-element matrix transducer and the UTA 1024-MUX adapter the SRAC approach allows exploration of optimal apertures for volume imaging performance.  You can download, read and listen to a zipped e-poster on this topic, or read more on High-frame-rate volume imaging using sparse-random-aperture compounding by Miguel Bernal, Bryan Cunitz, Daniel Rohrbach and Ron Daigle. High-Channel-Count Volume Imaging

Verasonics continues to expand technologies for High Frame-Rate Volume Imaging with Doppler example scripts using a multi-system configuration.  The Volume Imaging Package provides direct channel-element control with up to 8 Vantage systems operating 2048 channels. Learn more here.

Multi-Threaded External Processing

Multi-Threaded External Processing enables the possibility to dramatically increase processing throughput using a simple framework for writing multi-threaded C/C++ external functions for multi-core computing systems.  For more information, click here.
