Software Update Now available for Vantage® NXT Research Ultrasound System Customers

Verasonics has announced the latest Vantage NXT software release (ver. 2.1). This software release is now available for download via customer folders.

Now Available: Vantage NXT 32LE and Vantage NXT 64 Configurations, and New NXT UTAs

In addition to the software release, new Vantage NXT System configurations have been released. Available in Mid- and High-Frequency ranges, these 32- and 64-channel model configurations are ideal for customers requiring low-channel data acquisition with transmit and receive data, as well as Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) / Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Materials Science research.

In addition, Verasonics has released two additional Universal Transducer Adapters (UTAs) for Vantage NXT – the NXT UTA 260-MUX and NXT UTA 408-GE MUX. Both adapters provide multiplex connectivity for transducers with 128 or fewer elements. The NXT UTA 206-MUX includes High Voltage Multiplexing (HVMUX) switching capability. Both UTAs are available for use with Vantage NXT 32LE and Vantage NXT 64.

These updates expand research options for Vantage NXT researchers and offer Vantage researchers additional capabilities when considering an upgrade from their existing system. Contact [email protected] for information on Verasonics uptrade offers.

HIFU Configuration now available in Linux OS

Customers with Vantage NXT HIFU configurations now have the option to program their system in Linux OS. The Linux OS option enables owners of a Vantage NXT HIFU Configurations that includes the GPU Toolkit with GPU Direct Option to do all programming in Linux.

Enhancements to Acquisition SDK Option

The latest version of the Acquisition SDK option includes programming capabilities for NXT UTA 256 Direct and NXT UTA 64 LEMO, in addition to the Extended Transmit Option and HIFU configurations (in LINUX or Windows OS).

The Acquisition SDK Programming Option, a C-based API, allows Vantage NXT users to program their system without MATLAB® dependencies.

Verasonics Announces Partnership with PhotoSound® Technologies

Verasonics has announced a partnership with PhotoSound Technologies to market their Legion™ AMP128 preamplifier. The Legion AMP128 is a 128-channel receive signal preamplifier for use with Vantage NXT or Vantage Research Ultrasound Systems, in all channel configurations.

Key product details

  • Intended for “receive-only” applications
  • For transducers operating between 2.5MHz and 15MHz
  • Provides 40 dB amplification
  • Offers 40 kHz to 45 MHz analog bandwidth
  • Compatible with the followingn Verasonics Universal Transducer Adapters (UTAs):
    • Vantage NXT: NXT UTA 260-S, NXT UTA 260-D, NXT UTA 260-MUX
    • Vantage: UTA 260-S, UTA 260-D, UTA 260-MUX

Legion AMP128 benefits include the ability to amplify very weak signals before they are digitized by the Vantage Systems, as well as better signal-to-noise ratio when detecting small signals. Applications where users have already demonstrated the use of Legion AMP128 in combination with Vantage Systems include photoacoustic imaging, thermoacoustic imaging, and monitoring radiation therapy, among others.
