High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound: ICU Symposium

High-intensity focused ultrasound ICU

Subjects that include High-Intensity focused ultrasound will be discussed at this year’s ICU (International Congress on Ultrasonics). The ICU is a global assembly of the ultrasonics community. The 2022 event continues a long tradition of the Ultrasonics International conferences which have been taking place every two years from 1963 to 2005), along with the World Congresses on Ultrasonics, from 1995 to 2005.

The biennial series of the ICU Congresses began in 2007 in Vienna, and has over time visited Singapore, Metz, Gdansk, Santiago de Chile, and Honolulu.

The Primary Goal of the ICU Congresses

The primary goal is to bring together experts and academia involved in the ultrasound industry, including high-intensity focused ultrasound, etc. Topics typically covered include fundamental ultrasound sciences and applications in fields like engineering material characterization, quality inspection, chemical, and biological US-based monitoring, medical imaging, and therapy. Keynote subjects include physical acoustics, biomedical ultrasound, nondestructive evaluation, and a variety of emerging fields.

High-intensity focused ultrasound Technologies ICUBest HIFU Research System

Verasonics’ Vantage platform provides advanced research capabilities for high frequency ultrasound research. The Vantage 128, the Vantage 64LE, and the Vantage 256 systems provide high energy delivery strategies and enable unequaled research and development in Histotripsy, HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound), and Sonoporation.

Clients can count on the system’s high energy delivery options that improve quality and versatility in focused ultrasound research. The Vantage groundbreaking Phased Array Systems expand the capabilities of material science research as well. The Vantage 32 LE™ System supports a Hypertronics connector for phased array transducers, as well as 8 LEMO transducer connectors necessary for single element transducers.

ICU 2022 takes place June 23-24 in Paris, France. To find out more about the symposium, click here. Click here.to find out more about the Vantage system’s superior High-Intensity focused ultrasound abilities, including high energy delivery techniques.
