Five years after the introduction of the Vantage™ Research Ultrasound platform at the 2013 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium in Prague, Verasonics continues to expand and improve the Vantage product line. With five Vantage platforms and multiple configurations now available for an ever-expanding variety of research applications, Vantage systems are used today in 31 countries around the world.

At the upcoming IEEE-IUS Symposium in Kobe, Japan, Verasonics will introduce several new products and features. As a ‘thank you’ and token of our appreciation to Vantage customers, Verasonics is pleased to make many of these enhancements available at no additional cost.

Whats New From Verasonics

• Software Updates on the Vantage system are introduced 3-4 times a year, providing new capabilities and operational improvements. Verasonics is pleased to announce that software updates are now available to ALL Vantage Customers at no cost.
• University of Bristol’s BRAIN (BRistol Array INspection) Software is a software package for NDE analysis and inspection, and provides highly sophisticated post-processing characterization and visualization tools in an easy-to-use package. The software package provides full-matrix and other advanced imaging techniques and analytical modules that are agnostic to the array technology. BRAIN software is now compatible with Vantage systems, combining the power of BRAIN software with the flexibility and speed of the Vantage system.
• A new Dynamic HvMUX Programming Model, now available on all Vantage systems, allows dynamic creation of multiplexer apertures. This new model is helpful for both linear arrays as well as matrix array transducers, allowing the creation of non-contiguous and sparse apertures.
• Improved Color Doppler Imaging, enabled by new acquisition algorithms, filters and processing for all Vantage systems.
• Now included with Vantage software, an expanded script library containing over 500 example scripts.

• The new Volume Imaging Package provides 3D acquisition hardware and software for Vantage systems utilizing 256 channels or more. With faster data transfer, distributed beamforming, new algorithms for 3D imaging and a GUI to control multiple systems, the Vantage Volume Imaging Package makes imaging with matrix array transducers faster and more flexible than ever. Additionally, for research labs that have constrained budgets, Verasonics is also introducing lower cost multi-system configurations with Vantage systems that only function when using the master clock of another Vantage system.
• The Vantage 32LE is the most affordable Vantage system yet. With 64 transmit channels and 32 receive channels, the Vantage 32LE combines the power and flexibility of the Vantage family in a low-cost system. And, like all Vantage systems, the Vantage 32LE is upgradable.
• ​The Impedance Measurement Tool offers accurate quantification of ultrasound beam resistance encountered as it passes through tissue or material, and may be particularly helpful with development of custom transducers.
