This demonstration uses a 128-element, 5.0 MHz transducer from Imasonic and an aluminum block phantom.  The smallest holes identified in this close-up photo are 1.09 mm apart (0.86λ at 5 MHz).

The resulting b-mode images compare Full Matrix Capture to Plane Wave Imaging using the Vantage system Pixel-Oriented Processing image reconstruction software.
